Dots for Dot Day
Summary: For this project, we read the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds and created our own dots. We took a coffee filter and wrote on it with white crayon/oil pastel and sharpie. After we made a design, we took watercolor paint and painted our dots.
Extension Activity: For this project, you could integrate it with math. For example, have students draw X amount of triangles, rectangles, circles, etc. You could also have students divide their filters into fractions.
