Van Gogh Tissue Paper Project

Summary: For this project, we first wrote down three facts about Van Gogh. Then, we took a dark piece of construction paper and glued different colors and shapes of tissue paper to it. After the paper was dry, we created a landscape to glue over our tissue paper. We used crayons and oil pastels to replicate the swirls of van Gogh's drawings.
Extension Activity: You could incorporate this lesson with science. Have students create different habitats. They will match the color and shapes of the tissue paper for the vegetation and landmarks. Their landscape can contain different animals from the habitat.
