Extension Activity: 

To help teach line, you could incorporate it into a reading lesson. In different parts of the story, where the feeling is high, have students draw or shape a line that explains how the character is feeling (nervous, sad, angry, etc). They could also use lines to demonstrate how the story evolves, making the line higher when it builds up and lower as it’s resolving. This helps students understand how to use lines in art, and how art can tell a story.
